Air Fryer Sausages (Beef Chipolatas)
Air fried sausages are soft on the inside and crispy on the outside. They are quick and easy to make. Cooking sausages in the air fryer makes them healthier than those cooked on the stovetop because excess fat gets drained out of the sausages. The best part for me is that cooking them in the air fryer deos not leave a mess and cleaning up afterwards is a breeze.
If you avoid cooking sausages because are you dislike cleaning up splaterred oil from your stovetop? Try this simple air fryer recipe and you won't want to cook your sausages any other way.

Ingredients for Air Fryer Sausages
Sausages - I am using beef chipolatas, however, you can use your choice of sausages.
Oil spray (optional) - You can skip this though I like to spray the sausages so they’re not too dry or wrinkly when cooked.

Cooking the Sausages
Place sausages in the basket in a single layer. For the best results, do not overlap the sausages.
Spray cooking oil on the sausages. This is optional, however, I do this because every time I cook the sausages them without spraying oil, the sausages dry up and do not look appealing.
I fry them in the air fry for 5 minutes at 200°C. After this time, I remove the sausages and shake the basket and return it into the air fryer. This ensures that the sausages cook evenly and they are evenly browned.
I cook the sausages for another 5 minutes.
Once this time is up, I transfer the sausages into a bowl or on a plate.
Allow these to cool slightly and serve.

2. Serving the Sausages
The sausages are best served warm.
I serve them for breakfast or as a snack, with or without sauce.
I also like to pair them with chips, wedges, fried rice and/or salad.
Try serving them on a slice of bread topped with grilled/fried onions and a drizzle of tomato sauce and mustard (use your choice of sauce - barbecue, sweet chilli). Aussies on here will get this 😋
Feel free to serve the sausages with your prefered sauce (ketchup, barbecue, chilli sauce).

Storing the Sausages
Store the sausages in an air tight contaioner in the fridge to be eaten within 3-4 days. However, I must admit that they would not last that long. I usually cook just enough for a day or two.
Notes
These sausages were cooked in 10 minutes. However, if you are cooking thicker sausages, you might need to add more time.
Adjust the time according to the thickenss of your sausges becasue they may need more time to cook.
